Oh, the agony!!!
Now that my three kids are grown and gone, I finally have time to concentrate on fulfilling another dream.
Over the past couple of years, I have written two novels for children which I am currently sending out to publishers ... Oh the agony of all those rejection letters piling up!
When it gets to be too much, I switch to my current long-term project, a picture story book I wrote and am now in the process of illustrating.
It's actually quite a sweet story about a seahorse who wants a rather unique present for his first birthday. Real seahorses don't live much longer than about a year, so I am glad the seahorse in my story gets his birthday wish. Ooops, I think I just gave the ending away ... but not quite ... |
