| Bio
My full name is Wendy Jane Whittingham. I am a professional artist and have been selling my work for quite some time.
For the past 30 years, I have lived in Burlington, a town situated on the shores of Lake Ontario.
I have a wonderful husband, three adult children, and a melee of critters including four dogs, two cats, a noisy bird and a pond stocked with fish. The newest addition is 7 week old Winnie (a mischievous cairn terrier) and my namesake.
Not only did I excel in the visual arts as a child, but I loved to write short stories, rhymes and generally play around with words. I wrote hundreds of stories and poems as I grew up, and imagined many more inside my head, some of which are still floating around in there now dying to get out.
My Education
Humber College, Rexdale, Toronto: Diplomas in the Fine Art Program and also in Graphic Art & Design.
Sheridan College, Oakville: Certificate in Illustration
Burlington Art Centre and Dundas Valley School of Art: I have taken part in a multitude of courses and workshops over the past 30 years giving me an opportunity to experiment and explore different mediums, display my work and find my niche.
